This Acceptable Use Policy explains what you may and may not do when using DetectVideo.net.
DetectVideo.net provides probabilistic AI-generation and deepfake risk signals only. Results are not legal, forensic, definitive, or guaranteed proof.

1. Authorized Use Only
You may only upload, submit, process, or analyze videos, URLs, audio, images, metadata, or related content if you have the necessary rights, permission, and lawful basis to do so.
You are responsible for your submitted content and your use of the service.
2. Prohibited Content
You may not upload, submit, process, request, or share content that:
- Violates privacy, publicity, intellectual property, or other rights
- Contains non-consensual intimate content
- Contains child sexual abuse material or exploitative content involving minors
- Supports harassment, stalking, threats, blackmail, shaming, or abuse
- Defames or falsely accuses a person or organization
- Contains illegal surveillance, hidden-camera footage, or unauthorized monitoring
- Contains malware or harmful code
- Is submitted in violation of a platform’s terms of service
- Is obtained through hacking, unauthorized access, paywall bypassing, or access-control circumvention
- Is unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or abusive
3. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use DetectVideo.net to:
- Harass, threaten, shame, defame, or target any person or organization
- Make public accusations based only on a DetectVideo.net result
- Claim that a result proves that a video is fake, authentic, manipulated, AI-generated, or deepfaked
- Use results as the sole basis for legal, employment, financial, platform enforcement, journalistic, or safety-critical decisions
- Conduct illegal surveillance or unauthorized investigations
- Process non-consensual intimate content or exploitative content
- Upload or submit content involving children in a harmful, sexual, exploitative, or abusive context
- Scrape, overload, attack, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service
- Bypass usage limits, access controls, or technical restrictions
- Submit URLs that you are not authorized to analyze
- Use the service to violate third-party platform rules
- Misrepresent DetectVideo.net as an official, forensic, legal, law enforcement, or platform enforcement authority
4. URL Scanning
URL scanning is not currently enabled.
If URL scanning is launched in the future, you may only submit URLs that you are authorized to analyze.
You may not use URL scanning to:
- Scrape third-party platforms at scale
- Bypass access controls, robots restrictions, paywalls, or login requirements
- Analyze private or restricted content without permission
- Violate third-party platform terms
- Collect or process personal data unlawfully
We may limit, reject, or block URL scanning to prevent abuse.
5. Result Sharing
Shareable result links and downloadable reports are not currently enabled.
If these features are launched in the future, you must not use shared results or reports to harass, defame, threaten, shame, or falsely accuse others.
You must not present DetectVideo.net results as legal, forensic, definitive, or guaranteed proof.
We may remove, restrict, expire, or disable shared results where necessary to reduce privacy, safety, abuse, or reputation risks.
6. Enforcement
If we believe this Acceptable Use Policy has been violated, we may:
- Reject a file, URL, or request
- Limit access
- Suspend or terminate accounts
- Remove or disable result pages
- Preserve relevant records where necessary
- Report unlawful content or activity where required
- Cooperate with lawful requests from authorities where applicable
We are not required to disclose detailed abuse-detection methods.
