DetectVideo.net provides probabilistic AI-generation and deepfake risk signals for human review.
Our results are not legal, forensic, definitive, or guaranteed proof that a video is AI-generated, authentic, manipulated, or deepfaked.
1. Probabilistic Risk Signals Only
DetectVideo.net is designed to provide cautious review signals.
A result may indicate that a video has elevated risk signals, but it does not prove that the video is fake, AI-generated, manipulated, or deepfaked.
A low-risk result does not prove that a video is authentic, original, or unmodified.
An inconclusive result is a valid result.
2. Results May Be Wrong
AI detection results can be wrong.
Possible errors include:
- False positives, where authentic or human-made content is flagged as risky
- False negatives, where AI-generated or manipulated content is not detected
- Inconclusive results
- Overconfident results
- Missing or incomplete signals
- Errors caused by poor video quality or limited context
3. Factors That May Affect Results
Detection quality may be affected by:
- Video compression
- Re-encoding
- Cropping
- Low resolution
- Short video duration
- Poor lighting
- Heavy editing
- Filters or overlays
- Screen recordings
- Audio replacement
- Missing metadata
- Platform compression
- Adversarial manipulation
- Model limitations
- Lack of source context
4. Not Legal or Forensic Proof
DetectVideo.net is not a forensic laboratory, court expert, law enforcement system, or legal evidence platform.
Do not represent DetectVideo.net results as:
- Court-ready evidence
- Forensic proof
- Legal proof
- Definitive proof
- Guaranteed detection
- Official verification
- A final authenticity determination
5. Do Not Use as the Sole Basis for Serious Decisions
You must not use DetectVideo.net results as the sole basis for:
- Legal claims
- Criminal allegations
- Employment decisions
- Credit, housing, insurance, or financial decisions
- Platform bans or enforcement actions
- Public accusations
- News publication decisions
- Safety-critical decisions
- Government, law enforcement, or investigative conclusions
Always combine results with human judgment, source verification, metadata review, contextual investigation, expert review where appropriate, and other evidence.
6. Upload Responsibility
You are responsible for any video, URL, audio, image, metadata, or related content you submit.
Only submit content if you have the necessary rights, permission, and lawful basis to do so.
